Dear friends:

For the fifth edition of the MESAJ, the Turkish translation of the Quran, a design agency offered eight cover options.

I liked several of them and I find it difficult to reduce the to one.

So, I invite you to participate the poll and pick the design you like the most. You may pick up to three covers by voting three times.

Peace,
Edip

Yup I think thats the simplest and yet the most beautiful cover. I'd recommend the same cover for the English translation.

Peace,

The blue with star looks too much like alot of bible covers to me. The star of Bethlehem etc. The cloud etc. is again very bible cover like.

A deep space Hubble view ie. black background with numerous galaxies would be better in this respect.

I'm guessing that you probably like the ones with the '19' depicted. These would be fair choices if the footnotes etc. lead one to the mathematical sign as a kind of 'subtext'.

The circles to infinity is the most neutral. It's the one I voted for. Now an interesting way of incorporating the 19 idea in a subtle way might be to have 19 circles in the diagram? Also you might play with the colour a little ie. black cover with 19 grey/white circles?

Regards and congratulations on this Smile

Nice to hear from you Oben, where have you been?

Indeed I too liked the circles, but it is too subtle and faded for a cover and I am afraid that it may not attract the eyes to the book in a bookstore shelf.

Attached is the one we are inclined to pick.

Peace,
Edip

Peace Edip, Currently establishing my own practice. I left my old job (like working for Pharaoh) in January. It takes a long time to find a new location and get everything else like equipment and leases etc. God willing it should all work out nicely inshallah.

I like the design you've chosen. Without the 19 numeral it looks much more sophisticated, and I like the fact that it has 19 points to it so an excellent but subtle connection. The colours are also excellent though I'd choose a lighter shade of gold closer to yellow if there is a choice. But I agree that it is an excellent choice.
