It seems you have lately taken a great liking to researching the paranormal.

I'm a skeptic at heart but I have had several instances which were hard to explain logically. On one occasion my brother and I were at home while we were young. It was winter and we shut the doors of rooms to conserve on heating.

We heard a sound from the kitchen of something falling on the ground. We were surprised and scared. We went to the kitchen door which was closed. Slowly we opened the door and switched on the light - it came on briefly then the light bulb blew out!

We were even more scared. We thought maybe someone had entered the house. We got a torch and opened the door slowly looking around. We found one of the control knobs of the stove in the middle of the floor of the kitchen. It was impossible for it to have come off itself - because it is tilted up at 45 degrees.

It was very frightening especially since the light bulb blew out then too. Was it paranormal - ie. poltergeist activity - maybe - but it's more likely the knob was pulled off accidentally and just on and something, maybe a change in temperature made it come off etc. As for the light bulb, it's time was due so it blew. But there is always the chance it was something else.

Anyhow, my family sometimes calls me 'ermis' or 'evliya' because I often am able to predict what will happen etc before it happens. If there is a phone call I can more often than not guess who it is accurately. Someone will tell of an event, and it turns out that I had mentioned it beforehand.

With the tsunami recently for example; the night before it occurred my father and I were speaking about the parting of the red sea and the drowning of pharaoh. I explained to him that one theory had been that a tsunami explained the phenomenon of the water withdrawing and then suddenly wiping out pharaoh's army. I also mentioned Krakatoa in Indonesia.

The next morning we woke up and the news was that a tsunami had occurred in Indonesia! Was it a miracle or paranormal?

No it wasn't. I must admit that a 'tsunami' would not have been the topic of conversation in many houses on Christmas night but it so happenned that it was at our place. As for the predicting events with people or phone calls etc - I think I just have a stronger developed ability to know human interactions. This is from experience and not some sixth sense.

Anyhow, it is interesting nevertheless. Interestingly my father also has this ability and I think it's just that we share a similar way of thinking and our knowledge about people etc.
