D\u00fcnya F\u0131k\u0131h Konseyi&#8217;nin karar\u0131ndan yakla\u015f\u0131k 6 ay sonra Re\u015fad Halife bir m\u00fcsl\u00fcman taraf\u0131ndan \u00f6ld\u00fcr\u00fcld\u00fc. Onun takip\u00e7ilerinin durumu hakk\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;de fazla bir \u015fey bilinemiyor. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edip Y\u00fcksel&#8217;in \u0130nglizce&#8217;ye \u00e7evirisi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In recent years in Turkey, two proponents of this &#8220;modernist&#8221; methodology gained fame: Adnan Oktar who is called Adnan Hoca and Edip Y\u00fcksel. Though Oktar and Y\u00fcksel embarked missions independent of each other and used different strategies, their work converged. Both being eccentric their relationship with the majority of Muslim groups evolved in the manner as I explained above. Their common methodology brought them together and they supported each other. Y\u00fcksel, who was intellectually more gifted, mentored Adnan Hoca, and Hoca listened to his advice with utmost attention. Then their ways parted. The root of the separation was in their characters: Edip Y\u00fcksel is extremely bold and courageous, while Adnan Hoca sharing his real thoughts with only a small group of followers and telling &#8220;lies&#8221; without hesitation (in Islamic terminology: doing <em>taqiyya<\/em>). For the majority of the Islamic segment the finale of this relationship became a police thriller, a dramatic, funny and meaningful story.<\/p>\n<p>Edip Y\u00fcksel was getting angry to Adnan Oktar for not publicly defending his &#8220;eccentric ideas&#8221; (which was under Y\u00fcksel&#8217;s monopoly in Turkey). One day he went to Hoca&#8217;s home and placed a voice recorder in his pocket (or bag) and made him talk in candidly and frankly. In other words, he repeated some of his eccentric ideas and made Hoca express his agreement and support. Then he submitted the audio cassette to \u0130slamist media, which hated both. Several Islamist magazines published the transcript of the conversation to hit a fatal blow to &#8220;Adnanism&#8221;. This way, they proved that Adnan Hoca too had &#8220;diverted from Islam&#8221; like Edip Y\u00fcksel. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Known with abovementioned activities, Edip Y\u00fcksel was supported by Islamic segment of population. His books were used by various jamaat (especially some Nurcu groups) in their missions to proselytize new recruits. But, without considering his age and lack of experience, Y\u00fcksel expressed his opinions on every issue and in some cases he was very daring. This disturbed some leaders who wanted to hold monopoly over Islamic knowledge. But, none dared to criticize Y\u00fcksel since he had wide range popularity and his books were instrumental for many young men&#8217;s conversion to Islam. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>New ideas that started division among the followers were signs that Adnan Oktar&#8217;s fate criss-crossed with Edip&#8217;s. It was known that the modern interpretations of Islam which led the more conservative members leave the ranks were defended by Y\u00fcksel publicly. In the last pages of <em>\u0130lgin\u00e7 Sorular<\/em> (Interesting Questions), [and before that in the last pages of Quran the Greatest Miracle], Y\u00fcksel requested from his readers to send him challenging questions that causes &#8220;confusion.&#8221; This new survey and questionnaire appeared in \u0130lgin\u00e7 Sorular-2. Publishing houses that published Edip&#8217;s previous books without hesitations could not show the courage to publish his new book. Thus, Y\u00fcksel published his book through a new publishing house which he established, Y\u00fczond\u00f6rt (HundredForteen 19&#215;6).<\/p>\n<p>In this book Y\u00fcksel invited people &#8220;to question religious dogmas without compromising their reasoning faculties\u2026 to use the same mind which they use in their work place and daily lives and stop using double standards.&#8221; To him, &#8220;the era of ignorance and bigotry starting from Umayyad dynasty which has increasingly grown since, is finally coming to an end.&#8221; Inviting those who wonder the cause and origin &#8220;of corruption, ignorance, divisions, backwardness, wars, oppression and tragedies&#8221; to read his book carefully, Y\u00fcksel could guess what would happen to him:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8220;I know that removing the prejudices and dogmas that have engrained in the minds of our people is more difficult than splitting the atom. I also know that anyone who attempts this will be excommunicated through gossip, lies and false accusations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Y\u00fcksel was excommunicated, which started by his father Sadrettin Y\u00fcksel and his siblings. Numerous magazines were publishing articles against him and his responses to criticisms and allegations were not published. He published the major articles written against him togther with his responses to each in Sak\u0131ncal\u0131 Yaz\u0131lar (Dangerous Articles). Unidentified group of people stole the first edition of his book from the printing house. They then collected the copies of his book that he managed to distribute to bookstores, one by one. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Upon the new development in the case of Rashad Khalifa, the degree and volume of attacks against Edip Y\u00fcksel made him even more isolated. The <em>Ink\u0131lab<\/em> Publishing House which once published his &#8220;miracle&#8221; books (and made big money from them) started collecting Yuksel&#8217;s books from bookstores and on top of that published a new book written by a &#8220;committee of scholars&#8221; to trash Yuksel&#8217;s book on &#8220;Miracle 19.&#8221; Receiving the support of none except of Adnan Hoca, Y\u00fcksel suddenly found himself on the side of Atat\u00fcrk. Y\u00fcksel who was once imprisoned for insulting Atat\u00fcrk was now praising him for &#8220;ending an era of despots and fascists that transformed Islam to a menace, to an impractical religion.&#8221; According to Yuksel, &#8220;Atat\u00fcrk was commissioned by God.&#8221; It was not a surprise to see him supporting this claim with 19. His birthyear 1881 (19&#215;19); his death year 1938 (19&#215;102), starting the war of independence by landing in Samsun in 19 May 1919, and the 19 letters in his name: Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It did not take too long for Adnan Hoca to follow Y\u00fcksel. In <em>R\u00f6nesans<\/em> magazine which he was the General Publication Coordinator, in an interview that appears that he both asked the questions and responses, Hoca said the following: &#8220;I want to emphasize my admiration for Great Leader Atat\u00fcrk and his principles, whom I had wrong ideas in the past.&#8221;\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Edip Y\u00fcksel has been living in the center of United Islamic Nation in Tucson. Approximately 6 months after the World Fiqh Committie&#8217;s fatwa, Rashad Khalifa was killed by a Muslim. There is not much information about his followers in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00d6zg\u00fcr Mandal&#8217;\u0131n \u0130nglizce metni tekrar T\u00fcrk\u00e7e&#8217;ye \u00e7evirisi:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de son y\u0131llarda iki yenilik\u00e7i yakla\u015f\u0131m yanl\u0131s\u0131 \u00fcn kazand\u0131: Adnan Hoca olarak bilinen Adnan Oktar ve Edip Y\u00fcksel. Adnan Oktar ve Edip Y\u00fcksel birbirinden ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak vazifeye at\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve farkl\u0131 stratejiler kullan\u0131yor olsalar da i\u015fleri birbirine benzemektedir. \u0130ki tuhaf insan olarak M\u00fcsl\u00fcman gruplarla ili\u015fkileri yukar\u0131da bahsetti\u011fim \u015fekilde geli\u015fmi\u015ftir. Bir g\u00fcn cebine veya \u00e7antas\u0131na koydu\u011fu bir ses kay\u0131t cihaz\u0131yla Hoca\u2019n\u0131n yan\u0131na giderek onu samimi ve a\u00e7\u0131k bir \u015fekilde konu\u015fturdu. Ba\u015fka bir deyi\u015fle tuhaf fikirlerinden baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 tekrarlad\u0131 ve Hoca\u2019n\u0131n onlar\u0131 kabul etti\u011fini ve destekledi\u011fini ifade etmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Sonra kaseti ikisinden de nefret eden \u0130slamc\u0131 medyaya verdi. Birka\u00e7 \u0130slami dergi Adnanizm\u2019e \u00f6ld\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc bir darbe vurmak amac\u0131yla bu konu\u015fmay\u0131 yay\u0131mlad\u0131. B\u00f6ylece Adnan Hoca\u2019n\u0131n da Edip Y\u00fcksel gibi \u0130slam\u2019dan \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kan\u0131tlam\u0131\u015f oluyorlard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Yukar\u0131da ad\u0131 ge\u00e7en aktivistlerle birlikte Edip Y\u00fcksel n\u00fcfusun \u0130slami kesiminin deste\u011fini al\u0131yordu. Kitaplar\u0131, \u00e7e\u015fitli cemaatler (\u00d6zellikle de Nurcular) taraf\u0131ndan kendilerine yeni m\u00fcritler kazand\u0131rmak amac\u0131yla kullan\u0131l\u0131yordu. Fakat ya\u015f\u0131n\u0131 ve tecr\u00fcbesizli\u011fini dikkate almadan, Edip Y\u00fcksel her konuda g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015flerini dile getiriyor ve baz\u0131 konularda olduk\u00e7a c\u00fcretk\u00e2r davran\u0131yordu. Bu durum \u0130slami konular \u00fczerinde tekel olmak isteyen baz\u0131 liderleri rahats\u0131z ediyordu. Ama kimse Edip\u2019i ele\u015ftirmeye cesaret edemiyordu, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc pop\u00fclerli\u011finin \u00e7ap\u0131 olduk\u00e7a geni\u015fti ve kitaplar\u0131 bir\u00e7ok gencin \u0130slam\u2019a d\u00f6nmesinde \u00e7ok etkili olmu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p>Takip\u00e7ileri aras\u0131nda ayr\u0131l\u0131klar olmas\u0131na sebep olan yeni fikirler, Adnan Hoca\u2019n\u0131n kaderinin Edip\u2019inkiyle kesi\u015fti\u011fini i\u015faret ediyordu. Daha muhafazak\u00e2r olan \u00fcyelerin saflardan ayr\u0131lmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7an modern \u0130slam yorumlar\u0131n\u0131n Edip taraf\u0131ndan aleni olarak savunuldu\u011fu biliniyordu. \u0130lgin\u00e7 Sorular kitab\u0131n\u0131n ve ondan \u00f6nce Kuran En B\u00fcy\u00fck Mucize kitab\u0131n\u0131n son sayfalar\u0131nda Edip okurlar\u0131ndan kendisine kafa kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131ran sorular sormalar\u0131n\u0131 istiyordu. Bu yeni sorular, \u0130lgin Sorular -2 kitab\u0131nda yer alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ge\u00e7mi\u015fte teredd\u00fct etmeden Edip\u2019in kitab\u0131n\u0131 basan yay\u0131nevleri onun yeni kitab\u0131n\u0131 yay\u0131mlayacak cesareti g\u00f6steremiyorlard\u0131. Bu y\u00fczden Edip, kitab\u0131n\u0131 kendi kurdu\u011fu Y\u00fczond\u00f6rt Yay\u0131nevi vas\u0131tas\u0131yla yay\u0131mlam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Bu yeni kitab\u0131nda Edip insanlar\u0131 dini dogmalar\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme yetilerinden taviz vermeden \u2013i\u015f yerlerinde ve g\u00fcnl\u00fck hayatlar\u0131nda kulland\u0131klar\u0131 ayn\u0131 akl\u0131 kullan\u0131p \u00e7ifte standarttan vazge\u00e7erek- sorgulamaya davet ediyordu. Ona g\u00f6re, \u201cEmevi Hanedanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00f6neminden ba\u015flayarak gittik\u00e7e g\u00fc\u00e7lenerek b\u00fcy\u00fcyen cehalet ve ba\u011fnazl\u0131k \u00e7a\u011f\u0131 art\u0131k sona eriyor\u201ddu. Ayr\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131n, yozla\u015fman\u0131n, cehaletin, gerili\u011fin, sava\u015flar\u0131n, zulm\u00fcn ve trajedilerin k\u00f6kenini ve sebebini merak edenleri kitab\u0131n\u0131 dikkatle okumaya \u00e7a\u011f\u0131rarak, kendisine ne olabilece\u011fini de tahmin ediyordu:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">\u201cYanl\u0131\u015f fikirleri ve \u00f6nyarg\u0131lar\u0131 kitlelerin zihninden s\u00f6k\u00fcp atman\u0131n atomu par\u00e7alamaktan daha zor oldu\u011funu biliyorum.
